Do you have strong values and beliefs in your business? Would you love to share your message with potential clients but don’t know how? Do you question how important it is to share your ideas and opinions with your followers?
In this article I am going to explain the importance of sharing your values and beliefs with both your audience and potential customers.
For a lot of businesses their values and beliefs are their unique selling point. For instance, they may believe in delivering excellent customer service, only using recyclable packaging, using local produce or selling cruelty free products.
Why would you not want to advertise your unique selling point to potential customers?
You may have a belief or value that you doubt your potential customers would understand and therefore you feel nervous about sharing. For instance, you may believe that it’s important to support local businesses even if it means paying more for the product, or that it’s crucial to only use cosmetics that are vegan friendly even if they don’t offer a wide range of colours compared to other brands.
I want to make it clear that if something is important to you, then I can guarantee that your ideas and beliefs will also be valuable to other people. All you need to do is find these people.
To do this you need to share your beliefs.

Tell your audience why it is important to spend money at local businesses, even though products maybe a little more expensive. Maybe you want to encourage people to support the local economy, or you may believe that unnecessarily transporting products around the country or world is bad for the environment.
Create posts which make your audience think. When they are unaware of something, they are unable to make an informed choices. Therefore, we need to educate our audience.
This can be done by sharing information, telling stories, and commenting on relevant articles in the news.
Tell people how important it is to you to be able to offer your customers a personal service, if you make custom made jewellery or cakes. Shout about how good it makes you feel that you only use recyclable packaging, so you’re not adding to the plastic pollution.
People like to buy from people that they can make a connection with, someone they share similar values and beliefs with and someone they trust. Therefore, it’s important that you share your views with your potential customers, so they can get to know you, and build trusting relationships.
I hope this article has helped you to understand the importance of sharing your views and beliefs, and given you the confidence to shout about your businesses unique selling points.
