Do you often find yourself busy multitasking? But never actually get to complete a task as well as you would like? Do you wish you had more time for yourself or your family? Do you find yourself doing jobs you hate?
In this article I am going to share with you the reasons why I believe, we as women in business should outsource the jobs in our business we don’t enjoy, in order to create more time for ourselves, friends and family.
As women we are quite often used to multitasking, however just because we can, doesn’t mean we should. We don’t have to prove how fantastic we are all of the time, sometimes we just need to stand back, relax and appreciate life.
Outsourcing a part of our business can sometimes be quite difficult because we are handing over control of something we love and have spent many stressful hours trying to create.
However, if we start to view outsourcing like ordering our favourite takeaway then maybe it will be easier to accept the help.

Recommendations and Reviews.
First of all, we wouldn’t just order a takeaway from anywhere. It has to have good reviews, be recommended or from what we can see it must meet our expectations and values. For instance, style of food, hygiene standards, price etc. This is the same when choosing someone to outsource your work to. You will be working closely together to achieve your business goals; therefore, they need to be compatible, they have to have the right values and style of working.
Next think why we get a takeaway.
Time.
We might want to save time. Instead of spending hours in the kitchen cooking a fantastic meal which all members of the family will approve of, it is definitely less time consuming and less stressful to just order that takeaway.
And So if you’re looking to save yourself time in your business, so you can do the things you love like spending time with family or going out with friends I would recommend outsourcing the jobs you dislike or take you ages to complete.
Limited Skills or Interest.
We might not have the skills or interest to cook a three course Chinese banquet, an Indian feast, or a freshly cooked Texan BBQ pizza. Consequently, we leave it to the experts to use their skills, knowledge, and training to cook us up our favourite cuisine.
Hence it makes sense that we should be doing the same with the jobs in our business we hate, or struggle to do.
Outsource to an expert and you’re sure to see fantastic results, not just because they will have the skills and knowledge, but they will also have the time and interest in doing the job.
Yes, financial advisors really are interested in playing with numbers!
Additional Cost.
When we compare ordering a takeaway to cooking at home, it may seem a more expensive option. However, if we breakdown all the costs of cooking the Chinese banquet ourselves, it is probably cheaper to order a takeaway in the long run than buying all the ingredients needed for the meal, let alone adding the cost of all the cookery courses and training.
Therefore, when considering whether or not to outsource jobs in our business we need to weigh up the pros and cons and decide if the benefits such as saving time and quality of work outweigh aspects such as cost.
Be Kind.
As women we need to be kinder to ourselves. We probably order a family takeaway on a Friday night without even thinking about it, no worry about cost as it will be worth it, to not have to cook or wash up afterwards, and very little Mum guilt as it’s a treat for getting through the week.
So next time you wish that a magic fairy would come along to do your finances, a genie would offer to build you a fantastic website or your fairy godmother would sort out your social media content, remember there are a nice bunch of people out there ready to help make your business even more fabulous!
