Do you find keeping the kids entertained on long journeys a struggle? Do you never know what to pack in their travel bags?
The thought of travelling with children can be a complete nightmare for some parents, to the extent that they will either choose to not travel at all with young children or will only travel short distances.
In this blog I will share with you a list of items which you can pack in your child’s travel bag to keep them entertained.
Obviously, I’m not telling you to pack every single item as this will go way over your baggage allowance if you’re travelling by plane and could make for a very heavy bag. Choose approximately 8 to 15 items depending on the length of travel and remember to choose items which are age appropriate.
- Their favourite book
- A new book
- A magazine with pages to read, puzzles and games
- Pens and pencils
- Doll or soft toy
- A drink (might need to use before going through airport security)
- Snacks
- Packed lunch
- Notebook
- Colouring in book and crayons
- Small toy
- Electric device such as ipad or kindle with games, music and films
- Headphones and batteries or charger.
- Extra clothes for just in case
- Warm jumper
- Travel games
- Puzzle books
- Sweets
- Tissues or wipes
- Blanket
